It always takes me by surprise when I realize it's already June and we're half-way through another year.
The last few months was perfect spring weather. Soon as the calander turned over to June the heat and sun followed.
We started the month out with a bit of fun for me and Jake. We weren't able to get a babysitter so the kids had to come which put a bit of a damper on the fun but they were happy to be there and also enjoyed themselves. Every year a local gun shop hosts Gun Days. Dozens of gun manufacturers gather in one area so you can test out as many guns as you want. I've been wanting a 9mm pistol for myself just for target fun, and maybe a bit of home defense but we're already covered there. It was a bright sunny day so we didn't last too long but got to try out a few fun items:
what's wrong?
My pockets are full of rocks!
If we get to go next year we'll need to bring kid sized safety goggles. The adult ones would not stay on the kids small heads.
There was even a booth set up just for kids to shoot. Alexander and Breahna were both anxious tyo try it out:
More June fun;
Kaleb lost a 2nd tooth. He was very excited to earn another $1 from the tooth fairy.
I love having a charcoal grill. We all love using it for s'mores.
Evie was unsure if she liked marshmallows
It didn't take more than a lick for her to decided she really liked marshmallows and she wanted to eat as many as she could sneak
roasting them is as much fun as eating them ... or maybe it's just because she gets to sit with her favorite person, dad:
molten hot marshmallow? Cement like stickiness from my toes to my hair? What's not to love?
