We've kept ourselves busy throughout April. This will be another post with scads of pictures to document our coming and goings:
5 semesters down, 4 more to go! Jake finished off strong with another great semester. He will now be going what's called fast track. This school usually requires you to go 2 semesters on, 1 off. If you get permission for fast track you don't have to take a break. Come Monday Jake will be starting Spring semester. This way he'll be able to graduate a year earlier than we had thought - hooray for July 2014!

While Jake was away on his school trip the boys did some fingerpainting. They asked if they could hang it up for daddy to see when he got home:
I made this girl a dress. I am rather proud of it. It started out as just something I was playing around with and wasn't actually ever going to be worn. Think, all green dress and bodice, yuck! Then I found this fabulous floral fabric in my stash. I covered the green skirt with it only to decide the skirt was too tight, and the dress still wasn't right. I found more of the fabric, which allowed me to get more room in the skirt then I added a tie and other fabulous details. I decided I loved it after all! I made the boys matching bowties.
They were supposed to wear their new clothes for Easter Sunday but everyone woke up sick, then the next Sunday was conference, I didn't care, this girl was wearing her dress anyway!

She is so close to walking. She stands up by herself and will occasionally take a few steps but will quickly sit down when she realizes what she's doing.
She loves to climb and loves to use this ability to get into all sorts of places that she shouldn't. I quickly realized I can't leave things on tables anymore.
She just had her 2nd tooth pop through sometime while she was sleeping last night. That's two on the bottom. She has been slowly sleeping better, which is a huge relief to us all.
She is usually always a happy girl

It was hot enough one day that I filled up our little turtle with water. The kids all loved playing:
Breahna loves water. I have a feeling that she'll be more than happy to spend lots of time splashing through the summer:
Our friend and neighbor is a beautician. She has been cutting my hair since we both moved here. I decided that I wanted to have an entire day of pampering. Lisa cut and colored my hair. She all dyed my eyelashes. Then another friend and neighbor, Sarah, decided I needed some makeup. She had fun playing. Wow, my lips are crazy pink! I don't think I'll be buying lipstick anytime soon.
I asked Sarah to take a few pictures for me. We ended up laughing and having fun:
Jake's family had plans for a weekend of dinner and lunch and lots of fun. Jake had finals and wasn't able to go be with his family. I decided to take the kids by myself. It wasn't a bad 5 hour drive. The kids were stellar travelers (and we don't even have a DVD player!)
My first stop was to spend the day with my best friend Holly. Holly and I met when we were 8 and 9 years old. That's 22 years putting up with each other! We are only able to see each other a couple times a year but it's always a good time.
We met at a local restaurant where we got delicious hamburgers to take back to the house to eat.
Holly has a backyard that any kid or daycare would be jealous of.
Crazy we now have 6 kids between us. Her oldest is getting baptized soon, that's how old we were when we met!
I spent the next two nights at my sisters house. She wasn't home much since she manages the family tax business and it was the week before tax season was over.
These two days was all about spending time with the Stevens.
Conference Sunday we went up to see grandma and grandpa.

There was no way we would be able to watch conference with 7 kids running around. We enjoyed lunch and playing outside in the gorgeous spring day:

We didn't get enough grandma love. I stopped at my grandma's house. A few of my aunts, uncles, and cousins were there watching the 2nd session of conference:
The next two nights I spent at my dad and moms house. They were also really busy with not only the tax business but also their frozen yogurt shop but we still enjoyed a wonderful visit, which I didn't document:
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family! I am grateful my kids will grow up knowing their grandparents.
